Cheers for that. I may well join the dark side soon so these are on the radar

road.cc are saying that the Adept will take up to 42mm tyres - sounds like a cheaper Arkose! Be interesting to see the geometry, and if it could be a cheapo gravel bike. I wonder what the Vista will be.. carbon frame and big clearance would be nice.

But this is mainly good news because "B'Twin" is a dreadful name for bikes. Say it with a comedy French accent and it's "between".. because bikes go between your legs...

I have had a btwin, one of the cheap road bikes, for a few years now, it's been a very good bit of kit. The wheels have been binned for some decent ones but that happens on a lot of ots road bikes but every thing else works spot on after years of commuting. Paint work still in very good knock even though it lives outside, Cheap shimano gears shift well, bb and chain set fine and even worn out a chainring with the amount of use it gets. Good value kit from Decathlon

Don't think I would be able to bring myself to ride one, nothing "nice" about them including the boring paint finishes.

Cracking value bikes as ever. My wife's bike is a B'Twin and is lovely, really nicely made and nicely thought out bike.

Carbon fibre, Ultegra R8000 equipped model which comes with Mavic Cosmic Pro carbon wheels for £2299.

That's ridiculous VFM.

Giant Defy at 'same' price / spec point is £100 more (admittedly does have hydraulic disks) and you get carbon wheels on the Decathlon instead of Giant's own brand.

They're very Euro, aren't they?

Discs ( not mentioned in the article, for some reason) and the bigger tyres are a nice upgrade.

Can anyone see what kind of axles are fitted on the Adept?

Looks like flat mount discs.

Have been considering a current 520 at £499. If the new Adept Sora comes with a triple and decent brakes I'm in.

Bit of a confusing article, will the Start and Vista share the same frame?
