Hi! My 661 vest things is on it's last legs. The zip has gone, the back pad is held together with duct tape and it smells... funky.
I quite want a roost guard as thats what all the cool kids are wearing. Are they crash approved? Does it matter if I look teh awsumz ? It's for uplift DH
Roost Guard will stop motorbikes infront you spraying you with debris / roost.
They don’t really do anything else
For uplifts/ alps trips etc I wear a POC VPD jacket...something like that will offer a lot more protection than those roost guards

I'm a big fan of my TLD HW short sleeve armour, you can add or take bits away if you don't like the pad layout.
Been in a few crashes in it and it has done well.

Poc VPD T-shirt, very mobile for a rigid armour shirt but overkill for me.

I've not crashed in the 5900 yet but it's a lot cooler on hot days and easier to get on/off.
I used to wear a one of these BITD on my MX bike which is very similar and a crashed plenty in that with no significant injurys.
Time-ly thread for me, been looking for some body armour for uplift days and keep looking at the TLD option. How easy are they to take off after a full days uplift? Also how does the sizing fit in real life?
