my forks and wheels are 26 so wasn't any point in getting the patrol.

bike is so much better than my old FS bike, it inspires confidence but I'm not that keen on the monarch plus so going to change it out for either a CCDB air/coil or X2/DHX2 - leaning towards the DB coil.

we are a family of trannies, suppressor - ripcord - patrol

I've looked into fitting a coil to my patrol, they have to be tuned to ramp up for bottom-out protection as they are quite linear.

I'm up to 4 rings in the monarch now, provides good support even at 35% sag.

The linear leverage ratio does make me worry a coil would be an issue I'm going to have to put more rings in the monarch as its not very well supported on the big hits untill I get a new shock. maybe an X2 with climb switch at the end of the month

I've been thinking about getting a suppressor frame! Currently on an alpine.
How tall are you and which size did you go for?
I'm 5'10 and on the cusp of a M or L (as usual!)

Very nice. Just a suggestion but I'm pretty sure the Jeremy Kyle show would pay good money to feature a "family of trannies"

Go large, they aren't big bikes.

I found a medium patrol too big but I'm only 5'6", bro in law was in between a medium and a large and he got a medium patrol. I compare your current bike reach etc to the medium/large.
