just picked up my new Reilly Gradient and immediately took it out on to the Downs to put it through its paces in the rain and mud. A shame to get it so muddy within minutes of handing over the cash but felt like the right thing to do!

Yeah, the pedals were the only spares in the shed because I forgot to order new ones! And the stickers...well, new Bike excitement got the better of me. Needs a Hope orange seat clamp too.

ti bottle cage, or better still Arundel carbon

IMO coloured seatclamps look a bit naff. I'd put the colour lower down, like jockeys maybe, or caliper bolts

ps I have a one too

Like the idea of the jockeys and agree on the bottle cages. Mark offered me some of his carbon ones but don’t trust myself not to break them (am a bit hamfisted) ti would be nice.

Very nice.  I wouldn’t have muddied it until I helitaped it, especially the cranks, but that’s just me.

if it were me, I’d buy two Hope clamps, black and orange and would use the black one, but with the orange bolt.  It’ll be too much otherwise.

That's lovely! Maybe some orange bolts for the bottle bosses, but any more and it mightn't look as classy.

I assumed the stickers were left on because they matched the other orange bits.

(I tend to leave the, because they make a couple of my riding friends twitch. Even more so now that I don't live nearby and ride with them infrequently- when they ask if I've just fitted the rotor I can innocently tell them 'oh, nine months ago')

Disagree, orange hope seat clamp will balance the hubs and headset just lovely. Would avoid orange bolts though, tiny bits of ano look crap IMO. I have got a silver salsa clamp for a 30. 9 post kicking around  though Chris, need to check exact size.

Lovely bike, dod you get it locally?

Thanks Dave - yes, got it from Mark Reilly down in Brighton. Lovely guy and can’t recommend them enough. Feels like the ultimate do it all bike. At least if you live in the south east it is. Coped admirably with South Downs chalk and mud with a very out of shape rider

That looks great, agree with the orange seat clamp to balance things out.
