Are there any UK companies making custom Thru axles?
I'm investigating replacing the proprietary 15mm Thru-Axle/QR hybrid that came with my Giant TCX.
The only issue is that the Thru Axle would be a left-handed thread, due to the way the fork has been designed.
Would this be safe or are they right-handed for a reason?
Is the original a left hand thread? I'd have thought that precession might unscrew it.
Have a look at robertaxleproject.com available through sjs cycles. I used one to replace the rear qr style through axle on my focus cx bike.

I made a few of these for my own bikes when i was getting the kiddies round ...if i had known about this id have just bought one from robertaxleproject
Ace thanks chaps. The giant Thru-Axle/QR works fine for now but feels insubstantial compared to the DT Swiss.
