[#5706749]

So after thinking long and hard and scratching my head if to build a frame from scratch using the components I already had , or just biting the bullet and buying a complete bike 😉

I only went and bought this off ebay on sunday for bargain money 😉 lappy zesty .. will let you know how it does on the trails sunday 😉

Crap valve alignment, pedals/cranks at a shocking position and you should be shot for the choice in gear selection.

Otherwise enjoy your new bike, looks nice 😀

That stem is longer than my manhood. Do you like going over the bars or something?

Let's all spare a moments thought for JCL's missus and the utter sense of disappointment she must feel on his birthday.

And let's face it, she's not going to feel much else....

What year is it? I think they had the BB shell cracking issues sorted by 2010.

I have a carbon 2012 that hasn't cracked....yet 😀

Enjoy, love mine!

Bit harsh to be linking cracked frames when this guy has just spent decent money on a new bike and is excited don't you think? My mate has a zesty and my brother has a spicy both the same age as yours. Sorted bikes

P.S my dad has the same bike age & colour. He loves it. He has fitted a shorter stem and upgraded the wheel.

My 2010 still going strong under a new owner. Were issues with some od the older ones, and some of the more recent carbon ones.

Incidentally - Lapierre's response to those cracking BBs was to strengthen the frames, and also increase warranty to five years.

Contrast that with Trek's approach to all the cracked chainstays, which was to restrict the lifetime frame warranty to the main triangle only, and reduce chain/seat stays to 1/2 years.

60mm and I'm not qualified to answer that 🙂

I think the standard stem was 80mm

Lol finally some normal people just wanting a normal covrrsation on this forum 😉 seems like everyones out to dishearten people or troll the forums looking for an argument.

Bottom lIne is most the reviews I have read are good and I like the bike albeit I have not properly ridden it yet 😉

Are you new here kenz?

You'll get used to it 😉

Quite nice bike btw - doesn't do a lot to excite me, but hey the thousands of pics I post of my bike don't seem to excite many people either. Hope you enjoy it.

How much did you pay goddammit?!

I am not worried about the frame, but his gloss work looks like it's yellowing, probably got the cheapest paint at b&q
