Another bike question...
I've got a Brother Big Bro (29er, steel rigid bikepacking 'rig'). The whole chainset is on its last legs (SRAM Eagle) but apart from that it's in good condition. I use it on dirt roads and for bikepacking.
Lately, been tempted by a light-ish alu HT and saw that the Canyon Grande Canyon 7 (any owners?) is going new for 880 quid including some Judy's, a dropper post, and a SRAM Eagle chainset. The spec is really good for the price.
I did price up a new chainset, sus forks (SIDI ultimate), and a new wheel (annoying, the 'standard' on the Big Bro is not boost, so hard to find sus forks!), which all in, comes in as the same price of the bike.
Opinions? I'd like to take the Canyon back to the UK in the summer where I thin it's more suited to the Lakes/Scotland/trails as locally we have tons of foresty/farm roads which suits the Big Bro much better.
Boost on a fork is not relevant for the frame. You could run boost or non-boost. You've just got to make sure the hub spacing on the wheel matches.
Judys are fairly low end forks, Sid Ultimates will perform much better.

I’m using spacers to run a non boost hub in a boost fork. Works fine, you just have to remember they are there when removing the wheel…
