Fair enough - it's spot on then.
How are the maguras? I always have half an eye on swapping to magura whenever I have to swap out a leaking shimano one end or other.

I really like these - having ridden a 910, I founds it a really good, fun bike.

With a dropper, they almost become the perfect UK trail bike IMO. They can be disgustingly light for a bike that can take a bit of stick too 🙂

Do Magura brakes still have flexy levers? The ones that came on one of my bikes were awful for feel. Couldn't get shot of them quick enough.

Bloody nice that, like the colour. Scott have the all day/trail bike thing nailed I think.

On that sort of bike I'd consider getting a dropper with the lever under the saddle so you can swap it over for the standard post quickly should you want a dropper for a more techy ride. Worked really well for me on my old XC bike.

Nice, I miss mine. Well I miss it apart from the cheese rear hub bearings. But you may have sorted that with the wheels.

Nice bike I have the genius in the same colour, much nicer in the flesh/sunlight as it has the gold shimmer. Swapped out to lyrics rc2 and changed the wheels, it pedals really well at 30lb so yours will shift along nicely.

Nice.  What veered you away from the RC?

Kryton it really was a hard decision between the RC and this, but just thought that extra bit of travel would benefit me for all day/trail riding rather than an race bike, also i got the weight down a bit so i don't see an issue with me racing it as well, i see my legs as the biggest down fall racing rather than the bike 🙂

That looks ace.

I still think my old short travel but angles for trail riding was the best bike I've ever owned.

Scotty Lochland had just fine a video on that bike.

jonny rocky mountain, how are you finding the Hunt wheels? what sort of stuff are you riding on them? thinking of a pair for my short travel full suss 29er that gets used for all sorts of xc/trail riding.

lovely I'm really tempted by the spark only thing that puts me off is the frame warranty isn't as good as specialised or giant, though I've had no issues with my scale.

reckon the rc only makes sense if it's primarily your race or marathon bike. if it's going to be used for trail centres and the like the 900 is more suited.

Very nice. I have the 710+ spark and run it with 29" wheels. So it is essentially an identical bike to yours but with 10mm more fork travel so slightly slacker and a bit higher BB (frames are identical). I love it but it does need to go on a diet. Mine is 2018 version so has 2x11 XT and a dropper, plus I run reasonably HD tyres for the hills. Comes in around 28.5 lbs. Will be going 1x when stuff wears out and might build up some lighter wheels and tyres for summer. Be nice if I could get down to around 26-27 lb.

I did stick the original plus wheels on the other day for a snow ride over the Gap....

cakefest, so far can't complain about the hunt wheels, easy tubeless and spin very well, and at 1.65g for the set they are light, i think they are a bargain for the money

Yeah got it to 24.9 lbs by changing wheels and tyres, brakes and carbon bars and changing dropper post to carbon

700 Plus
24.4lbs without pedals or other sundry items like bottle cage, edc tool/pump

Might have to verify my scales though as its much lighter than I expected

It feels great, i have had 2 full suss 100mm travel race bikes, a turner czar and a trek superfly in the last 3 years and this feels quicker climbing and then quicker/stiffer/safer at descending, you definatley wouldn't be disappointed

No wonder you need a light bike. Your road looks horribly steep.
