This arrived in the post this morning! Quickly threw it together and took it for a spin out the back door.
So far, so good. My first time riding drops off road and we've had biblical rain for the last week so the trails are soaked, it was surprisingly less sketchy than I imagined but still a bit of a handful. Great on the road though and looking forward to racing cross on it this weekend.
Typically the day it arrived was the day Canyon retired it and released a new model but I'm happy with mine.

Looks nice that!
The new one has an ugly kink in the top tube hat looks silly imo. I guess the dropped seatstays on the new one are to try and make it more compliant / more comfortable, but I’m always dubious as to how much difference these things on rigid frames really make.
Yeah I think the idea with that stupid kink in the new version is to make it easier to shoulder during a race but IMO it's fugly.
I did send Canyon NZ a snarky email asking why they didn't tell me a new version was coming out a week after I ordered. In their defense they said they didn't know, and for the extra $100 my older version has better spec'd wheels and groupset and they hinted the delivery times on the website may be somewhat optimistic 😉
The new model doesn't look right and your colour scheme is much better! Enjoy!
Nice bike, but the cable routing looks terrible.
It's meant to be a Cyclocross Race bike so the decisions about the top tube kink on the new version and the cable routing are all about use in a race and easy of shouldering.
Still, that one looks ace, I love the colour and the routing is what it is I wouldn't be looking at it when I was having fun on it which the OP will do. 🙂
