the actual bikes don't look too bad and seem good value;

Wonder if this means one of the other brands will get binned. Didn't seem like Whistle got much traction?

Website needs bigger pictures, much bigger pictures. I want to be able to actually see in close detail what it is that I may be spending a lot of money on.

I don't want to have to go through to another website, whilst navigating pop up blockers, and then have to look at through a magnifying glass. I HATE that.

Other than that, bikes looks good. Oh, and put the price on there as well. Again, I don't want to have to click through to another site to find that info out.

Innit.

Cube shows other manufacturers how it's done...

I think the bikes look pretty good.

The video was pretty decent, but the music was a bit 'Omen'.
🙂

Nice countryside too.

But I don't want to seize anything.
And I'd willingly slap those responsible for the branding with a dead Sanderling.
The Alpha, Beta, Gamma model names are good - though.
Bit Lancia innit?

Someone at Cube needs shooting for using that pic...

So Boardman to go it alone?

There seems to be a bit of ovelap in the pricing of these to suggest a replacement for boardman...also uses 27.5, alu smooth welded frames, just like boardman? Couldn't put myself through a marketing video, but the bikes look decent.

So Boardman to go it alone?

based on this;

Chris Boardman sells cycle business to Halfords for £20m

Maybe they're trying to differeniate this as a 'cooler' brand?

Ah, I'd missed that Halfords had bought Boardman. I wonder if they're going to run both brands then or try and move Boardman up the market to the £2k+ bracket.

That Cyclocross bike is great value for 500 quid.

[img] [/img]

Separate rack and guard bosses and an inboard rear brake too.
Nice bike.

Why, there's a reason for it. All a bit 'heritage' I guess, but at least they've done their homework.

Its not really those 'rules' though, it's tradition. Still a bit flowery **** though I guess.

Valves are oriented at the 12 o'clock too - so yeah, they must have suspended it for the photos!

Unfortunately it doesn't matter what flashy brand name they come up with or how good their bikes are its still Halfords. Like George is to ASDA.

It's funny, I looked at them and thought how good it was to see proper sized bikes with the saddles set at a proper height!

£1400 for an 11sp hard tail with Revelation forks!

Still wouldn't buy a bike from Halfords though.

"Follow your instincts". I will thanks, to a proper bike shop!

Almost as bad as the slogan they came up with when they screwed up the Voodoo bikes: "Ride with the Spirits"!

Yeh about as innovative and cool as someone using a 'funny' name instead of just typing Halfords.

They'll sell plenty, especially when they're reduced to 50% off next month (and forever more).

Giant Talon 0 has XT, Deore etc, Fox and a way better frame. And is available from a proper bike shop. And is 99p cheaper. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-in/bikes/model/talon.27.5.0/19077/76989/

I liked the scenery in the video, it's nice to see something like that and think "don't we live in a beautiful country?" 🙂

"Seize the day" - fine, "seize the trail" - OK, "seize the city" - doesn't really work for me, sort of sounds like they'll be doing that with a combined force of tanks and infantry.

A lot of halfords hate, shame really as they are trying to change to appeal to cyclists. They are always going to sell kids bikes and low priced bikes as there is a market for them. But I think it's great that they are innovating and looking to change things. The bikes in the flesh or carbon and ally look amazing, and I'm considering one of the mtb's.
