Ah now that would be the bargain XL Helius FR you got from Simon and Mike over at Momentum right?

Very nice indeed; it's quite a long stem for such a freeride orientated bike. Have you thought about a 50mm maybe?

Is it going on the Nicolai MTBR forum as well?

Cool that. Like it.

Funny though, with ?i?o?AI, so many companies unnecessarily change their logo, but ?i?o?AI's is awful and it's stayed the same forever!
Not that the logo is that important of course 🙂

Lovely looking bike, Never really thought about a Nicolai but getting tempted.

Funny I thought the same about the stem... Looks a bit long?

Not much chance of rad freeride with me on it, its more of a big hill fun trail bike. Looking forward to Snowdon in Spring.
Dont want to cramp the cockpit, stem is 90 but I have 70 and 50 stems to try out.

6'4"

By the way, that's not Ton's bike, it's Wharfe's, a guy from NZ. That thing was custom made from scratch I believe; which is to say that they don't actually make a 29er Helius AC. Wharfe had it specially designed and then made.
In his garage, he also has:
Nicolia Nucelon TFR with Cane Creek
Nicolai Ion with Fox 40s and Chris King etc
A very cool Nicolai Helium FR in Dizzy Urban Camo with full XTR
A Nicolai FXMTB, hard tail jump bike
So this 29er is, as far as I can tell, his fifth Nicolai!

Ton - I think they only have the Nonius as a 29er in their 'official' range. The Helius AC is 26" wheeled as standard but obviously you can request anything within reason.

Nicolai's do indeed rule.

Wharfe's collection is awesome if a little on the pricey side, his house looks awesome too 8)

Pete it's fair to say your bike makes the 26" wheels look small!!

29ers always attract a custom upcharge but we expect to sell more Helius AC 29ers than Nonius in future. 29er hardtails also an option.

We've still got some stock to clear at the moment so more bargains to be had - the last few Helius FRs, an Argon FR Rohlof, XS Nonius and a number of Helius CC's with current geometry but top tube cable routing rather than bolt on guides. The CC is a perfect UK bike and more than capable of Alpine riding as well - up to 140mm fork, 129mm rear travel.

Over £500 discount on some of these frames - see www.nicolai-uk.com for details
