I bought a 14" 456 evo over the summer, while its a great frame it turns out its a bit too small for me. Its basically used as a commuter and spare bike so it covers up to 50 miles a week, however due to it being so small I'm finding it difficult to live with on the longer runs. So I have decided to stick with on one and get a larger size. The question is do I go carbon? I am tempted!
How tough are the frames? I live in snowdonia and ride a lot in nice slatey areas and my frames can get a bit of a beating from it. The carbon frame could handle The odd slate to tube impact right? Also are 2nd hand carbon frames a bigger risk than their metal counterparts?
And advice is gratefully received.
