Just tried fitting a KMC HL1 1 speed chain to a dirt jumper and when I came to add the bullet pin - I didn’t realise my chain tool was slightly bent and the bullet pin snapped before going through.
I know need a replacement pin ideally from somewhere like Amazon.
I can see ones for sale at KMC in the US but struggling to find something UK. Can anyone advise where I can get one from please?
Singlespeed quick links (assume 1/8th chain?) are definitely a thing, or is there a technical reason you'd not use one on a dirt jump bike?
It says the size is 9.5mm 1/2” x 1/8
If it’s a half link chain then this was on the top of google search.
I just need the bullet pin I think, not the whole half link
Just get yourself something like this dude, makes future maintenance so much easier.
