It’s going to be used for a bit of everything, gravel, bikepacking, touring.

First ride on it yesterday, the wind was horrific, but the bike was brilliant. It’s got the stiffness I wanted, but it isn’t harsh. The ride quality is outstanding. My old gravel bike flexed when loaded up, this feels like it will be much better in than respect. I need to adjust the bar set up, I was getting numb hands, it’s positional rather than vibration.

I decided that 12 speed would allow me to switch to 1x and it works well, you can feel the large jumps in ratios on the road sections, but I’ll get used to it. The GRX brakes through time may be swapped out for Hope RX2, but I’ve never had any issues with the old GRX.

i nearly went for Hunt carbon wheels to save some weight, but my old Hope 20five wheels never missed a beat and I decided that reliability was more important. The Pro5 hubs are fantastic, they spin up quickly, have little drag and sound great.

It needs some lowering cages to get the bottled in a better position, they are way higher than the old bike and interfere with the frame bag.

Overall, very happy 😃

Very nice 👍

The paintwork on the bridge needs repainting. And that paving slab needs mending ...

I've got an Etape of the previous generation - limited to 28c tyres with mudguards and Q/R's/post mount calipers. It's got probly 30k miles on it and hasn't missed a beat. I use it exclusively on road and it's built up with Force 22, Hunt Aero 34 wheels, Ritchey finishing kit and a Fizik Aliante. It's sometime tubeless or tubed depending what I'm doing and is a very smooth ride.

'Good choice' as they sometimes gush in nice restaurants... 🙂

haha!! Yes escape! I’d looked at the  etape as a replacement for the road bike, but decided the gravel was in need of a more urgent update.
I think this proves I’m more tired than I thought this morning! 😂

I've got a near identical bike, even down to the frame bag. Plus you can nearly see my house from one of the photos. Freaky

Very, Very Nice 👏

I have an Enigma Echo for road duties, its been amazing and still going strong, not sure I'll evert part with it.

Happy Riding

I have used Hope pro 4's with 20five rims for the past 10 years on my gravel bike, still as good as the day I bought them
