[#10762376]

I've entered and the event is in two weeks but I've barely heard anything about it or had any information from the organisers, has anyone who has been previously got any info/tips they want to share from past experience or has anyone who is entered this year had any information that I might have missed?

Seems very quiet for something in a fortnight's time.

There's no showers or water on campsite, do plan accordingly. Also cash only for bar and food.

Had an email around a week ago. Hopefully more steep woods and less grassy pedalling this year but can't wait, hard weekend if you've not done it before

Thanks man got it. No water or showers! With the weather we've had that's going to be interesting...

Yeah I thought the recent email was pretty light on information. Nothing about sign on times, where to go to camp practice, start times etc.

I'm camping not that far away at the moment and it's been pissing down about 12 hours solid on top of 2 days of heavy showers and there's some flooding locally so no idea what state the trails will be in.

Nothing you couldn't run an SDA on then 😀

Entry transfers were closed on the first, whoever goes will have to ride under your name.

Mandog, I hope so, if not there will be beer!

So how did we all do?

I finished tenth in HT with a time of 17:33:36 missing stage 3 after the poor bugger snapped his knee. Current excuses are a pinch flat going into the woods on stage 1 and stopping to let the guy in front clear the last section of 2 before I ran into the back of him. Went into 4 blind as I never got to practice it and had a hilarious OTB on the grass sprint on 5 where I found out there was a ditch on the left.

But for my first enduro I was made up that I actually got round it especially after the water issues on Saturday and feeling like crap on stage 1. Cheers to whoever gave me a shot of their pump at the fork to 2 & 3, will be ditching the gas cans next year!

I had 4 crashes, 3 on the rocks on stage 5 including one landing face first onto the rocks which scratched my goggles and half popped the lens out.
16:46:01 happy to get round relatively unscathed. The heat took it's toll. I got through about 8 litres of water on Sunday.

I had a few crashes, usually right in front of the first marshal point, every one an OTB. Still had a good time. After stage 5 I was just flying, the race was done and I knew 6 was nothing to get worried about, was still hyper at getting on midnight. Was gutted the food and beer shut so early.

Crashed or went off track on 4 stages, twice on s2 and s5, and caught the rider in front on the other 2. Thought every stage was top notch and the only negative was the lack of water on practice day, personally I didn't run out but every station was empty by the time we got there and a lot of people were on the verge of passing out, seemed much more organised on Sunday tho. It was much steeper/ more technical than last year and I hear loads of people didn't start the race, personally thought it was a big improvement, roll on 2020
