I want to put my old RF MTB cranks on my gravel bike, largest Narrow Wide chainring I can find is 38t but ideally I want a 40t minimum, 4 bolt with and bonus points for steel. Anyone know of such things?

I've got a 40t one I'm just about fit to my commuter. There's loads on Amazon up to 52t not steel though.

Up to 42 tooth on this listing, didn't go any further down that rabbit hole today:

Just ordered one of these, the current one on the MTB has c.2100km on it. If I'm picky it can get a bit noisy at extreme chainline, and will probably be what determines the lifespan of this drivetrain (Sunrace MX8 cassette). With hindsight I'd have swapped out the chainring earlier given the price.

Just go for the 38 you will hardly notice the loss of top end on the road.

Don't see why steel is so important, they're cheap and easily replaced. These are as good as any "branded ones" out there and at £15 a pop you can't complain.
