Apart from needing to use a 3/32 chain rather than a 1/8?
Having difficulty getting hold of a SS chainring in the size/BCD combo I want, but can get a narrow/wide single ring easily enough.
Freewheel is a WhiteInd, frame's a slot dropout inbred, so should a 3/32 chain on a n/w ring work OK?

Yep, with a nice straight chain line it should be fine, an awful chain line might accelerate wear though, but thats the case with any set up
