Apart from stans flow etc, does anyone know of any wide (upto 35mm) 29er rims For XC/Trail type riding?

American Classic Wide Lightnings - worth every penny. But depends on what you call cheap. The WTB i25 rims are pretty ace too.

Look at Superstar DS25.

I've got a set on my 29er and they're ace.

On One have got Pacenti rims in 25, 28 and 31mm widths. The DL31 I put on the back of my Krampus is still doing well after a winter's heavy riding.

Those AC wide lightnings are getting some dreadful reviews regarding durability.
Check out Ryde rims. The Trace Enduro is 29mm (internal) and can be had for around £55/rim.
If I were looking again I'd probably go for DT Swiss EX 471. Not massively wide at 25mm but tough as old boots.
