Hi All,

back in the day there was a brand that had a suspension system that integrated - i.e the front and rear sus were connected and you could change the overall geometry of the bike by hitting a button and leaning forward or back.... WHO WERE THEY?!!!

its a question that's been driving me nuts!

thanks
Ash

Christ they were horrible. When you dropped the front end to climb something steep, it somehow introduced a weird drivetrain drag - spoke to the rep about it and he said that that's what they do?! Horrible, overly complicated things with awful dampers and as it turned out, a very flawed concept.

i always thought things got draggy when i lowered my u-turn pikes to ride on the road. i was never sure if it was in my mind, but saw a reference to the phenomenon in mountain bike action. they had no idea what caused it.

Who made that two-wheel-drive bike?

it was. i remember a local shop having a demo in. did the front wheel get driven from the back wheel? i’m off to the internet to find out.

edit: the front wheel is driven from the back wheel, but a a lower gear, so only takes over when the back spins.

i’d quite like to try their fat bike.

A Bionicon turns up in my works bike shed occasionally. No idea whose it is though so can't ask about it.

I'd like to try a Christine. Must be draggy with that extra drivetrain though

Always thought they were utterly hideous.

They're still going (2020 bikes at least)

Tends to be only older models available, but if you can find one that's been well looked after.....
