Worked fine up to about 16 miles, then the next time I looked the screen was blank. At home I connected to my PC (to charge it) and when it came back to life it said "no history saved", so the whole track has vanished 🙁 Grrrr, whinge etc...

Mine failed just like that, battery seemed to have come loose inside, tried to fix it, made it worse (these things don't appear to be designed to be opened, ever) and it went in the bin, fortunately I didn't pay all that much for it.

There's a few articles on t'internet about changing the batteries. Or, if in doubt, back to Garmin.

Garmin do a cheap(ish) replacement service for non-warranty items don't they?
