my pro f/s has a saddle which i think is fairly generic agross most models in the boardman range inc road.its a flat ish race shape but i dont find it that comfortable.cant work out if i just need to get used to it or need something better.or is it just the flat shape.mags talk about flat saddles helping you move your positioning, whats that all about? ,surelly im sat on it,standing or hanging off the back behind it?

It may be the position - try tilting it slightly up or down at the nose (just a little either way though), or back and forwards a bit. Some of the most comfy saddles I've had were only good in just the right position for me after a lot of trial and error.

At the end of the day everyone is different though, so if you don't get on with a flat saddle after some experimentation try a good curvy one like the fizik gobi

My saddle came off my Pro hardtail after the first ride. Light it may be, but it was like sitting on a plank. Might have something to do with the fact that I was used to full suss at that point, but comfort comes first, when you get to my age ๐Ÿ™‚
