I'm probably not describing this very well, but my Ribble GCR 725 has bolts for mudguards on the bottom of the fork crown and seatstay bridge, so there's nowhere to bolt the bracket that I'd always used up to now to mount mudguards.

Obvious answer is to drill a hole in the top of the mudguards, but since I need some new ones anyway, does anyone know which ones come ready to be mounted that way? Bonus points if they will fit 38mm 700c tyres.

I had a similar problem on the rear of a CAADX. Ended upย  using a small L shaped bracket bolted to the bridge, which gave me a vertical hole to bolt into from the rear guard. Looking at this video, you might not have the height/clearance to do this

Thanks andy. There must be some out there designed to fit that way though, or it's an odd decision to make the frame and fork that way isn't it?

There'a a few people in the comments section who've drilled the guards, presumably after removing the original bracket
