Hello
I've had an SKS shockboard on my bike for a while now and think they're good for stopping the crap being thrown up into my face and eyes.
However my new bike has a tapered steerer tube and the hole through the middle is 35mm opposed to 20mm on the last bike. Hence mudguard doesn't fit anymore.

Tried the web for another type and SKS for a bigger fitting but no joy. I don't think a spacer would work. Don't think it would stay in place.

Anyone got any ideas or recommendations for a new mudgaurd?
Thanks

It's summer-don't let it worry you & enjoy the dusty trails rather than worrying about mud!

I've always found the SKS shockboard to be a great front mudguard, and as suggested, there are ways round it, some-one had previously fitted a piece of rubber tubing inside the bottom of my Lefty, with a star fangled nut - I can bolt on my shockboard using it. So there are ways round it. But another option is to use the 'beef flap' type mudguard along with a Mudguard that sits on the down tube, both a useless alone (IMO) but work as well as the shockboard together
