Hey, unfortunately I'm local to Biggleswade 🙁 Some nice routes along the green sand ridge if you want to give chicksands a miss.

Crotchrocket....you could always take him over Pirton way or over to that Woburn place or even those woods you mention occasionally.
Which Woods?
Broxbourne or Mardley Hill? They are prolly 40mins away & will do for a change. Like wise Thetford is an hour and 10 away.
Pirton, nature reserve/K2 is steep, but has no traction till the spring.
Herts & Woburn is closer/better/different.
not really spoilt for hills but there is a decent mix of everything else within a short drive
