Lots of bridleways. Ordnance Survey is your friend.

In that case Jedi I will be in touch at some point!

Yes OS is a great tool but local knowledge is much better!

Hey, unfortunately I'm local to Biggleswade ๐Ÿ™ Some nice routes along the green sand ridge if you want to give chicksands a miss.

Tollah> Why on gods green earth are you moving the town that claims to have "invented the bicycle"?

I also unfortunately live in the 'wade.
I can show you a 49k loop that has the option to take in Chicky & some dishwater dull route51.
or some wet field edges.
some very dispersed singletrack joined by very (currently) muddy bridleways

There is a skatepark....

Jedi> can I start coming to herts shore?

Crotchrocket....you could always take him over Pirton way or over to that Woburn place or even those woods you mention occasionally.

Which Woods?
Broxbourne or Mardley Hill? They are prolly 40mins away & will do for a change. Like wise Thetford is an hour and 10 away.
Pirton, nature reserve/K2 is steep, but has no traction till the spring.

Herts & Woburn is closer/better/different.

not really spoilt for hills but there is a decent mix of everything else within a short drive

Looks like I'll be there the 2nd week in Jan, may not have a bike with me that week though ;-( There will be other times though.

Thanks for the offers of a ride around, I'll be in contact when I'm there along with a bike, SS more than likely.
