cheers
there are some decent trails near there, just a short drive away: in Afan ๐
Nothing really marked loads of soft hills and mud. You'll not get too lost if you've got a map. If you find my car keys please let me know.

Some nice stuff between Basingstoke/Winchester

The actual forest tracks are family friendly, nice for a leisurely bimble.
sorry see cheesefoot head, second link
Take your bike. It won't be spectacular, but there is some decent riding up around Fritham/Eyeworth and the Royal Oak at Fritham is a first rate pub. As ever, the best bits are hard to find unless you have a local to guide
Purbecks down the road, 1/2 hour away. Look out for angry horsey types in the New Forest.
Avon Tyrrell Youth Activity Centre near Burley has some ready made trails. Not that long but we held the Big Bike Bash there and they were good enough for a quick blast.
I used to love going for 1,5 hour blasts around canford heath in bournemouth. Really good fun and easy to find your way around. There's even some scary chutes and short descents at the far end and a huge and mean huge bombhole area ( used to have jumps there too)
