Can anyone recommend a decent value for money mtb shoe to go with the shimano M530 pedals which I'm about to order? Budget under £75.
I normally ride in my Shimano MP66 on my flats so would the newer AM45's be good or am I better off with a more traditional mtb shoe?

Shimano AM45s get my vote.
I usually ride with 5.10s + flats, and AM45s + M424 was an easy transition.

have a look at this deal, might be worth getting better pedals

xiphon - how do the 2 different options compare you mention? Are spd's better?
robhenry85 - whilst that is a decent deal, I've found the M530 pedals for £28 so would still be cheaper to go this route I think
