[#9420967]

Got a mate over from the US for a day and thought what could be nicer than a proper beardy mountain biking pub crawl in the white peak somewhere.

Not too long - 20-25 miles. Not too techie (he's n00bish) and a good pub every five miles or so.

Anyone done something similar? Have suggestions? Got a gpx? ๐Ÿ™‚

Hoping for something Nottinghamshire side really as we can hop on a train to Cromford, Matlock or Bakewell and head out from there...

Ideas please! ๐Ÿ™‚

have a go at this out of Bakewell: https://www.justgoride.co.uk/routes/26327
I'd probably adapt it a bit to make it less effort. Basically it's along the monsall trail from bakewell, up to the Quarry, then down Coombs dale to Stoney Middleton, then up a track to Eyam to descend through the woods and back to Stoney Dale. Then this route climbs back up to the quarry (absolute killer whichever route you take) so you could just pootle along the road and pick up the route again at Hassop. There's pubs in Stoney Dale, Eyam, Calver, Hassop and Pilsley. & bakewell of course. If you're not too bothered about technical you could avoid climbing up to Eyam but the 2 descents back to Stoney dale aren't overly technical but they are fun.

Good route! Cheers very much!

Just looked at the weather, which looks poop. But it'll get used ๐Ÿ™‚
