Hi guys,

Has anyone ridden mtb around Sydney Australia?
Looking for good singletrack destinations within 90 mins drive of Central Sydney.

Thanks
Sam

Blue Mountains, some very nice trails on the North Shore area like Oxford Falls, Manly Dam, Red Hill..
Worth checking out some of the shops as I found them very useful and got on group rides etc

90 mins drive

That's like barely out of the suburbs for Aus (Sydney especially) isn't it?!

Thanks Stevied - Are these trails marked / easy to follow or should i not consider riding them alone if new to the area?

It's been a few years since I was there so better so speak to the guys in the shops for more local knowledge. I'm sure Manly Dam is still pretty easy to navigate.
Where are you gonna be based? Depending where you are I may be able to hook you up with some riding buddies out there 🙂

You might want to post your questions on this forum Rotorburn forum but watch out those boys play rough...

Posted his on another similar post a while back.

Just north out of Sydney head to Oxford Falls/Garigal National Park. Like anywhere it takes a while to learn where the good stuff is so make sure you say hello to riders you meet. Everyone will be more than happy to let you tag along and show you the best bits.

Couple of lazy links below. The second one has some trail maps and IIRC some contacts that might be useful

I would recommend surfing instead, if you're only here for a couple of weeks. The riding is ok.... But the beaches are fantastic 🙂

I quite like it..... it's my local beach. Obviously if you go down at the weekends in summer it's busy.... But so is Bognor :). If the op is there for a couple of weeks, he should see it at its best. Check out aquabumps
