In my experience (in the Anti Atlas, south of Agadir) you will need to find someone who knows their way around, as none of the maps are much cop.

P.S I have had the lockiest week in my ****in life this week. This is only the start! I'm just waiting to get run over... something badd's got to happen soon. My 07 Revelations went to Fisher for a service and, to cut a long story short went backwards and forwards and STILL didn't sort the problem. This went on for far to many days but were meant to turn up on Tuesday this wee, that went, so did Wednesday. Definatly there for a noon delivery Thursday they said! This didn't hapen either (forks got lost by courier!) I'm now the proud owner of some 09 140mm Revelations.... Thanks Rutland Cycles

I did a few days in Maroc courtesy of Exodus, on 2 occasions.

Done Atlas, Anti Atlas, Tizin Test, Painted Rocks... Taffroute, Marracech, Agadir. Great trip.

There are certainly biking holidays in the Atlas mountains, try google.

Couldn't pursuade the GF to bike for a fortnight so we're doing sightseeing stuff instead in April...

Problem is i'm only going to be able to d=grab either 4 hours am or p.m so ideally need to hire a guide and a bike. Tried Googling it but not find a great deal apart from week trips etc. Thanks for the advice

Great riding in Morocco.

Did the Exodus Atlas Descent holiday in the Atlas & Anti Atlas last April, met my girlfriend on the trip. Changed my life, happy days.

Not that it helps you, but it makes me happy!

I've done the Atlas Descent trip too, fantastic, might be worth giving Exodus a call as they use a local company for the bikes, guides and transport so might be able to arrange something for you for a day or give you contact details to arrange it yourself? The ride on the last day of the trip was something like a 40km descent from the mountains to a beach on the Atlantic, superb trails, (goes and finds trip notes: Immouzer to Agadir).

Don't think any locals could point you in the right direction as I think it's just something they don't do, most of them looked at us like we were crazy. And, you would be better off to have a guide and back-up vehicle if going to a remote place off road, civilization is few and far between?

Enjoy ๐Ÿ˜€

There are local guides that do anything from ski to canyon to climb to trek.. There are two local logistics companies, Alibert and Erg Tours, both with 4wd vehicles and local drivers, both could also arrange cooks and food. Local guides may not just mean Moroccans, there are quite a few other folk working around in the Marakech region. Have a look for Kasbah Du Toubkal as a base for you and your laydee... Right up in the mountains, mtb on your doorstep, local feel to the area, Mt Toubkal if you fancy a walk and you can bike back to Marakech if you want... Ask for Mike McHugo.... he can arrange most things up that neck of the woods.
