OK I have to admit to being a tad uneasy about the whole 'mtb centre' scenario....I can't quite put my finger on it .... ? package holiday? a place for the unimaginative and showy...?

Ok Im going to get crucified for that but hey ho I have broad shoulders.

I am going to be up in N Wales this weekend primarily to climb....but am intrigued as to what these centres are actually like...so can anyone suggest one near to Snowdonia.

Thanks

Trail centres can be good for a bit of switch your brain off fun. Rode Penmachno yesterday for the first time with 3 mates and we all had an excellent time.

Penmachno or the Marin are probably closest, both are very good

Both of the above are good fun. More riding at Penmachno.

Brack - Try to leave your preconceptions in the car park and you may be surprised.

I've a hunch Penmachno or the Marin may be more up your street - they are a bit more natural/old school respectively.

Penmachno and marin better than CYB for me, ridden it all and while mbr/beast are very good trails penmacno's singletrack edges it for me! Lovely views with both though.
