Anyone had one of these.... any good????........been riding only 2 years and up until recently always bought the Bejing beauties from e-bay (all good by the way) but there appears to be an emerging intolerance of batteries in post, especially to IOM??.....anyway it looks like the Mutz.....is it????

Ps have tried 2 x Gemini duo 1500 (2014 model) both chargers popped after 2 charges...sent back for refund...awful watery light anyway)

Really good light, and Smudges service is excellent. I managed 5 laps at the puffer on full power, so probably about 5 hours (more like 6 at my pace!.)

yes, huge numbers of people on Singletrack have used them, and commented on them in great detail. If you use the search you'll find all that info.

My battery's failed, e-mailed him and he's offered to have a look at it, I just haven't gotten arroud to it since breaking my arm. The light itself is great, my only gripe is that if you're going to the effort of putting 2 buttons, why not put an up and down switch, rather than having to cycle through all the modes to find the one you want. But that's my gripe with all lights, not just smudge.

At least the strobe is on a separate button so you don't have to cycle through it. Though I've never understood what the purpose of a strobe on a bike light is.

MTB batteries / Smudge service is brilliant, lights are brilliant, prices brilliant for UK spec chargers etc that wont burn your house down and kill your family while they sleep.

๐Ÿ˜€ Funny, but true. +1 for the Lumenator, and for the 800 which I also have. Both will be used solo at the Bonty, and hopefully a case of immaculate timing on my part means only one charge will be required.

Not quite all, the Lumicycle lights do just that, up or down. Great lights too with ace back-up.

Ive used the strobe once when trying to stop riders coming down a trail where a guy'd used his face as a brake on the landing of a jump. It didn't work, people still came through and complained about the light being distracting/nauseous!

I've got one, great light.

But I've had two batteries fail in four months; however Smudge has sorted me out with a new one in next to no time.

Great light, bought mine in October last year and use if for road biking and MTB. Bought it to replace a Magcishine light that was not that great.

The Lumenator 2000 is seriously bright, it has 4 settings and most of the time 2nd setting is more than enough for most roads / terrain. The beam also gives a good spread of light. The light comes with a decent 3 pin UK charger that doesn't overheat or whistle like my deal extreme one used to.

The light itself is excellent quality and the battery lasts ages, although it is a bit on the bulky side. The light retains itself to the handle bars quite securely and so you don't need to worry about it moving around.
When you turn the light off, the green illuminated button on the rear of the unit also illuminates two halo rings in the lens (looks like BMW angel eyes), quite a neat little detail.

Mark (Smudge) is really helpful, give him a call at MTB Batteries if you want to talk to him about it.
