[#1280580]

Having the Epping forest at my doorstep is just to convenient and i end up cycling there most of the time.

I am thinking of starting to use some of my huge backlog of annual leave to take a day to cycle somewhere else every now and then.

When the weather gets more reliable i will definitely take a few days and go to Wales or Scotland, but for the time being i am looking for stuff within an hour or 2 of north east london.

Surrey Hills, Hertfordshire, Reading, etc...

Can you suggest anything and ideally, share some GPS routes? I have got a Garmin 705 so anything compatible will be great!

Thanks.

Woburn is about 45 minutes up the M1 on a clear day. I could throw a few GPS files your way if interested - enough singletrack and fun trails to put a couple of hours of riding together.

Also plenty of riding round Wendover/Aylesbury area (near Aston Hill) which is a similar distance. I have GPS file somewhere for a nice ride that I did there a few years ago.

Loads of riding round Dorking too, not been there for a few years though.

And then there's Bracknell/Swinley...

Thanks guys.

Jase - can you please email at andrecorreiasantos at hotmail dot com. I will have a look at them.

Jedi - Singletrack, reasonably technical. Preferably with some rocky sections. I am planning to go on a course with you at some stage but i would like some self development first...

I was thinking of friday for the ride but the weather is now looking pretty gloomy. tsss

rocky isn't easy to find in hertfordshire ๐Ÿ™‚
there are dirt jumps galore, mini dh runs, shore, miles of swoopy wooded singletrack all over the place

Devils Punch Bowl/Haslemere area has some good riding and not so busy as Surrey Hills.
