Quite fancy some bars like these but shipped from thr UK. Planet x have some but dont like how the aero part is really wide.

Anyone know of anything like in the link but from the UK?

Don't Sonder do a similar one?

Edit, Yep:

confucius

scope

Although they're both referred to as 'luggage bars' rather than 'aero'

The OPs bars are quite diffrent to the Confuciius etc bars, they angle up for hand holds rather than flat for luggage.

Cant say ive ever seen any like that though, sorry!

I looked around about a year back and there was nothing then, just the ridefarr ones. Those Sonder ones are about the closest I've seen.ย

Didnt think of that. Do you think they will be ok on carbon bars?

I use theseย  https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/3-position-long-bar-ends/_/R-p-386 with some carbon bars on my XC 'gravel bike' and haven't died yet. They adjust relative to the clamp so plenty of options to get them how you like. As per your stem don't clamp them too tight and you'll be fine - I have mine on the loose end of tightness as I'd rather they twist than damage bars in a crash - it's not like you're pulling hard on them normally after all.

35 years, gone in a flash!

Yes, i accept i will be laughing on the other side of my face (if it still exists) when long term metal fatigue finally wins the day.ย

Needs more sweep.

EDIT ah the Sonder ones look alright.. but they could do with some lift on the front section. Maybe if you could get a stubby bar end with a two-piece clamp...

Can you actually lean on the loop part of this kind of bar properly, for a long period of time?

I use bar ends in line as I can have the angle of the bars and the bar ends independent of each other. With the bars you linked it's limited.

But I have Ali bars. Some carbon bars do say suitable for bar ends but that's expecting them to be on the ends and not inboard. Chances are inboard won't be reinforced.

The Sonder ones have too much sweep for me. My current bars (Selcof flat carbon) are great but just want another position for long road bits. Was looking at gravel bikes but unless i can pay in bags of leafs, it's not an option anymore.

I have the same idea as iffoverload

Except I call them antlers, not cowhorns

Work fine on carbon bars, so long as you watch the torque, obviously.
