Anyone had MT5 brakes leak everywhere? I bought a new hose as it was leaking from near the caliper, that seems to be fine after installing but now the lever is leaking everywhere. It looks like it is coming from where the lever pushes in against the piston as that's where most of the oil is. New lever time, worth trying a Shigura? Cheers 🙂

I'll try fitting an older Shimano lever first before I spend any cash. Not a chance I'd try the codes, I strongly dislike bleeding brakes and they look a right old pain to do.

Codes aren’t difficult to bleed. The caliper end has a completely clean bleeding edge connector so you never spill a drop of brake fluid. The handlebar end is a normal bleed bolt that you take out and screw in a syringe. I find it easier than the Shimano brakes on my road bike. Mucking about with that funnel thing is a pain in the arse and the bleeding edge on the caliper is easier than the shimano option.

I agree re: the bleeding edge system on the caliper. It's really straightforward, and quite well thought out.
