Just back in from an awesome ride on the lower contouring routes around Mt Ventoux in the most awesome hail and lightening storm
Lightening so strong it set off car alarms in Bedoin and old wifies took in their Geraniums. The hail was so dense it was as if someone had harled the road. Motorists stopped to say their brakes no longer worked.
It then turned to a monsoonesque downpour which caught up with me as I crested the last summit. 8kms home down a river.
Fantastic. Now where is the nearest patisserie?

I've got pics of the Ventoux summit under snow with Tom Simpson's memorial bike just on the snow line. I'll mail you them when I get back.
