My bars are considerably narrower than 2000mm, if that helps.

may I suggest you get a set of the latest covid secure bars at 2000mm and stop worrying what other are up to.

Mtnboarder, in all honesty your comments are bang out of order and smack of cowardice. If you have a problem with how people conduct themselves at least have the courage of your convictions and have a quiet word with them. It really says so much that you didn't but felt the need to come onto a very public forum and not so subtly slag their conduct off.

They were standing next to each other with some either side of a footpath, the tweed valley railway path if that helps at all? And I can draw you a map? It’s not 2m wide

I wasn’t going fast and they saw me coming and moved apart to let me through..

2000mm bars are not sufficient for social distancing, a minimum of 4000mm is required and you must hold them by the stem unless going super enduro 5000mm.
You'll struggle to get them down a B-road, let alone singletrack.

If you had a problem with them it might have been best to voice your concerns to them there first rather than on here. I’m sure that they would have explained what they were up to and put you at ease

This.

Report them to the powers that be if it concerns you as much as it clearly does. You were (successfully) trying to stir and have correctly been called out on it. Alternatively you can contact them on their social channels explain they are behaving badly.

However it may have looked to you, you have no idea what had led up to what you saw. If you genuinely believe they were breaking the rules, report them and be prepared to give evidence. Otherwise, it just looks like you are stirring it, or aiming frustration at other peoples actions on this group of riders.

I've not ridden or walked with anyone outside my household through this latest lockdown, although exercise with one other is allowed. But some of my most enjoyable moments of the last few miserable weeks have been bumping into friends while out and about and catching up with a quick chat. We may not always have kept 2 metres apart, but simple face to face human interaction has been amazing, and I guess pros may feel like that as well.

Does op need to ask the moderators to delete this one?

I think just closing it and letting it disappear is a good idea.

No need to delete- I'll bow out now, on one final thought-

If I wasn't able to distinguish two smaller groups, how would anyone else?

Lots of pro's and Rob Warner 😀 are making content with other riders, Brendog, Peaty, Matt Jones, Steve Jones, Bernard Kerr to name a few, they've all been shooting stuff in groups, they've probably all been tested so I'm not judging or making assumptions. I've only seen GMBN setting a good example.

OP a member of a local parish council, per chance? ,

Grow a pair and speak to the offenders directly or shut up and get on with your life.

Who would need to? And why?....... Police?

I wonder if the OP would have made a similar post if he spotted 5 amateur riders stopping for a brief chat? Or dog walkers, or members of the Parish Bridge club... the mind boggles.

No car / van
No gnarr
Not far

What pandemic, its not as if anyone has died

All the hospitals have loads of space

The doctors and nurses would love more patients

No ones ever crashed at Inners

I’m in the middle with this one.

However, Bex is posting stuff on her insta stories which seems to contradict some of the above. There seems to be at least three in the woods. So maybe not two who have met another group. But whatever, I’m more for the whole community not getting grief and setting a good example - which includes local riders doing their bit too.

If you think this is bad, come to Surrey. The whole world seem to be meeting up to socialize, sorry, exercise, while drinking coffee together.

Or my local prom, where loads of folk stop for a chat, the evil murderous bastards.

Mibbe on localpromtrackworld their venting their spleens at the audacity of local prommers having a chat?

This is isn't meeting for a chat, this is clearly several households meeting to "exercise" together. Their choice though, I follow the rules to protect my family, up to other people what they do.

Fed up with all the virtue signalling nonsense. People like the OP out for a ride, having a go at others being out for a ride albeit in a spuriously convened 'training huddle' (but crucially, outdoors where were told the risk is minimal).

Nope, that's not the case, we've established that already, don't you go making stuff up too.

There were 4 of them together riding on the trails together.

What the **** are you on about @nobeerinthefridge ? I was talking about the people I see regularly in Surrey. Were you with me? No. So **** off.
Stop trying to twist words so you can imagine your some "big hitter" on a bike forum.

Some people seem to be struggling to differentiate between people like us meeting for a social ride(covered in the restrictions) and pros at work(not covered in the same restrictions). Maybe the fact that the two activities appear very similar is clouding the issue?

I think that is being a bit optimistic.

I think there's a fair few people who need a time out from this forum. If you've been in any way wound up recently then give yourself a week off for the sake of your mental health.
Speaking of which; see you next week!
