bollocks. Bikepacking bundle.

Later today. It’s a banger.

Er. Where? How dare you hold out such hope, only for no emails, FB feeds etc.

(I already have bike packing gear, bought at ridiculousness cheapness from PX before. But it's outrageous that you promise me stuff I already have and don't need, then don't deliver)

Where's the flounce icon ...

Yes.

No.

"No Trade or business advertising – except bona fide retailers may respond to genuine enquiries from potential customers."

We've edited the thread. Whilst it's great that Brant is providing extra customer service here, neither he nor anyone else gets to stick up stealth adverts.

Seems reasonable. Sorry. I was a bit giddy

I've just received my 5p socks.
Its disgraceful that I'm only allowed three pairs.
Its disgraceful that they cost a whopping 5p each - that's 2.5p per each foot.
Its disgraceful that I ordered them late on Thursday and they have just arrived.
Its disgraceful that SWMBO (who knows about these things) says that they are decent quality.

Who do I complain to?

Got home tonight to find that the f**s had sent my order. What a pile of *s.

In retrospect I should have bought ten pairs of 5p socks rather than three.

Where can I find the pin number for my PX gift voucher? It's meant to be on the bottom of the page , what number should I be looking for?

As I recall the purchaser sets the PIN at the time of purchase.

Forward to me at brant@planetx.co.uk and I’ll get Dean to sort it.

Cant believe the price of these at £499!!!

https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/WPVIME40TB/vision-metron-40-sl-disc-carbon-tubular-6-bolt-wheelset

How are they able to sell them so cheap? rrp is £1449 so that's £950 off, how do Vision, the distributor and Planet x make any money on them?

Unpopular item no one can sell at anywhere near RRP? The Clincher version is £799.

There can't be many people that want disk brakes and tubs. It's limited to really serious cross racers and people who maybe have disks on their race bikes (or maybe track riders who'll buy them as an upgrade set of rims and keep the hubs as spares). Also if someone's bought too many (Vision, the distributor or PX) then it's better to sell them quickly at a loss, get some cash in the bank and go out and buy something you can sell at a profit (and repeat) than to have a shelf full of £500/£800/£1450 wheelsets no one wants. I'm guessing someone at FSA or Windwave just wanted shot of a warehouse full of wheels, bars, stems that weren't selling.

Thta's why i like tubs, people seem to be afraid of running them all the time or the fitting/puncture fixing process etc... which makes them harder to sell and cheaper to buy it seems, im running Campag Bora one's all year round, paid £800 for them which i though was a bargain!

Vision is ok as there's no way they cost £400 to make, planet x are ok as they are happy selling at a low margin and I expect they're supplied factory direct so no distribution in the middle.

What are the helmets like? Is the polystyrene less awesome than £100 helmets?

Honestly how do the helmets compare in terms of fit and ease of adjustment etc?

The main complaint about the onone Xc helmet seems to be that it was£15 on Wednesday.

Lots of customer reviews on Facebook threads.

Current marketing nonsense concerning some employees leaving and going to other retailers and PX moaning about it seems ironic coming from them. Can they just not get on with selling their wares and cut out this side show?

Id run them in a race bike where a puncture is game over anyway (or might just get you over the line). But on a club run its like the guy on an mtb ride who still insists on running tubes as tubeless is too much of a faff (as everyone else in the group considers the moral implications of binding him with his punctured tube and disposing of the body in a ditch during the third puncture of the evening).

Having said that, £400 pays for a lot of taxis and trains. But I'd still go lightbike + tubeless.

Or you could run sealant in the tubs like i do and carry a spare just in case (i like to be prepared in case of a massive cut or sidewall damage)

Can change a tub in the same time it takes me to change a tube, may go tubeless on the road bike one day like i do on the mtb but not until my current tub wheels need to be replaced

Makes sense now that Planet x can sell them for £500 if they are cutting out the middle man
