Just did a long mixed ride around the Lakes and Bowland on 2.25 racing ralphs. Probably just me not really being up to it but found the road sections (probably 2/3rd's total distance pretty draggy
anything around which would roll better but still have some grip off road? I'm considering schwalbe g one allround 2.25's. Also Teravail Sparwood but they are mucho dosho
In the dry, 29x2.35 G-One Speed Evos with tubes are great for mixed terrain rides, if you do tubeless I expect they will be even better.
Been looking similar for commuting (trying to find tubeless). G-ones are far too pricy.

would Icon's or those Mezcal's be much different to a Racing Ralph? thanks
Probably too skinny but there are some on planet x. Mezcals or Barros. The latter are 2" and I bought some to do easy gravel roads on and a beach race. Seem good so far.
Mezcals are good tyres for mild off-road, but in no way are they a tyre for 2/3 road ride.
Conti Race King? I used the 29x2.0 on the Badger Divide and they were spot on. Come in 2.2 too. 👍
Teravail Sparwood's, ideal for your needs, they roll much better than Mezcals on the road.
I've no experience of Vittoria's [url= https://www.vittoria.com/us/terreno-cross-country.html ]Terreno Cross Country[/url] tyres, but they look like they'd be nippy on tarmac; available in 2.25".
Currently I'm running 2" [url= https://bicycle.kendatire.com/en-us/find-a-tire/bicycle/cross-country-marathon/kozmik-lite-ii-pro/ ]Kenda Kozmik Lite IIs[/url] (which are available in 2.2") which are surprisingly good on road.
Schwalbe Thunderburts and WTB Nine Line are also candidates.
epicyclo will be along shortly to say you don't need tread for gravel surfaces and recommend Big Apples.

I've got 2.35 G Ones I've done mixed surface rides on. Need to get the pressure right for off road grip/ rolling resistance/ rim dings, obvs.

It's a bit smaller, but wtb nanos come in 2.1 and are ace
