Great race, totally insane riding at that speed in those conditions. May have been asked elsewhere on the thread - but does Rob Warner dye his beard or what?

Without a doubt the best DH racer ever.
Needs some rainbow bands first imo

What a great race. Seagrave did well, I have no idea how Rachel didnt endup in hospital with an even more destroyed shoulder.

Then we had the men, I dont know what Gwin and Danny had for breakfast but that was a complete demonstration by the pair of them.

Take a look at who gm has beaten over the years, his description of this series is as close as when he raced Nico for the overall... Remember Nico.
He has been there and done it against the best of each generation even when Sam hill was laying down calendar gaps on people

The track looked genuinely scary! For me, the best race of the season, maybe not in exactly racing terms...but the drama after Moir of realising that Brosnan, Minnar, Hart and Gwin could possibly do something...eyes glued to the screen, that brew will have to wait!

Watching Hart come down that fast section, people averaging just over 60kph...then he barrels through at over 70 ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Then - all down to the last man - what has he got?...cue loud cheering in the Yoshimi household!

Haven't enjoyed tension like that in a WC DH race for a while eh?

This is Gwin's most impressive win for me, even more than the chainless one or the 8s demolition at Val di Sole.

He's not exactly noted for his skillz in the wet but he out Danny-ed Danny Hart and rode it like it was dry. Never found myself cheering for him like that before. Respect is due.

And with the aforementioned VdS lined-up as the WC season finale, he's now the hot favourite for the overall IMO.

PS. Still gutted for Danny. I very rarely touch 70mph on my road bike, in the dry.
