Why didn't she ask about the tissue?

The interviews at the top of the hill are really insightful.

Here's hoping Danny can pull off one of his special runs.

Why does Minaar always have tissues up his nose?

Gets a lot of nosebleeds.

I think Hart lost that rolling his goggles spray cover near the end.

What did I just see? I thought DH's run at champery was awesomes, but Gwin just cut every corner, railed every berm and nailed it in the most ludicrous conditions!

Some of Gwinns lines were class, hats off for using brain as well as balls and fitness. Great fun by Hart also.

Anyone know what happened to Minnaer?

My daughters rarely get excited about bikes on the TV but we all cheered Hart and Gwin on. I think they might 'get' sport after that.

guess nobody is bothered about the womens any more...

Great save as above for Rachel, set up for a 3 way battle next week there. Winner takes it all.

As for the men, massive shame for Lucas to hold that hot seat all the way until Gwinn.

All set for the men really, such a shame the weather came in though as it has messed up the end of a lot of riders seasons.

Missed the women's race as I switched on too late. Well pleased for Tahnee Seagrave quite a big gap to 2nd too. I guess she needs a good qualifying run and to take the win to get the overall.

Hart and Gwin's runs were insane. Gwin's lines were amazing it was like watching Sam Hill in his prime the way he was just taking the most direct line

I really like Minnaar but think Gwin deserves to take the overall this season with the flat at the last round when ahead and this win.

Good to Brendog back in the top 20 qualifiers. After the last rounds DNQ I thought that was the last we'd see of him in DH racing hopefully that proves he's still quick enough to compete.

Did all the SC sindicate riders perform really poorly or did i miss a good performance from one of them? Badly setup bikes or something else as they are some of the best rider with the best kit?

Danny Hart and Gwin were awesome to watch and appeared a different league to the rest and Tanhee stock is definitely rising her speed through all parts of the track was breathtaking. Well done to those 3

I've not watched them much this season due to the gap between the streams. I normally just tune in to the men's live stream with the aim of watching the womans afterwards, but more often than not I have only watched the top couple runs. I hope they change it back next year so there is only one stream.

Womens racing has got a lot more interesting now, Rach either taking it easy still, or saving herself for the worlds. Cat-like reactions to that high side showing her talent is there just bubbling under at the moment. Great run by Tahnee, she looked visibly quicker and more aggressive all the way down and put an impressive time gap between herself and the rest of the field. Wonder how close Myriam would have been if she'd have jumped the last jump?

Onto the mens, middle of the field struggling to get anywhere near the top time, but then Jack Moir showed that it just might be possible, Brosnan getting a bit closer, then all eyes on Hart the "wet weather specialist". He put down a storming run and compared to the last couple of rounds showed the form that earned him so many wins last year. Pity he missed out on sitting on the top of the podium but his celebrations showed that he thought his would be the best run of the day after the rain fell. Didn't factor on Gwinn though did he? I'm not a natural fan of Gwinn, dunno why, think it's the clean cut American hero thing, but wow. That run showed that when he's on it, with no mechanicals, he's in a different class. He was playing with the track and gaining speed everywhere whilst everyone else was just trying to hold on. Pity we didn't get to see what Minnaar could have done with a clean run but it would have had to be something very special to beat that time. Bring on the last round.

Am i the only one that doesn't rate this as "one of the greatest EVER"? I know it was some incredible riding from the last seeded riders but there's really not that big a spread of times across the top of the top seeded really wet finishers. Gwinn only beat Hart by a second and a half and Bruni was only 2 back with Brosnan and Moir only another second back from that. I think if everyone had had the same conditions it would have been an awesome race but without the will=they=won't-they factor of beating Lucas' time.

I'm not detracting from the achievement at all. What those guys can do it the wet is incredible and I'd be off at the first turn. It's just that the thought of Lucas doing a Warner kind of got in the way of the whole proceedings. Very glad Gwinn finally bumped Lucas but it wasn't a Champéry moment.

I think it was the 'last man down the hill can he do it' aspect that made it.

I think when you bear in mind that Gwin almost stopped dead in that rock garden (and normally he's the fastest of anyone through that kind of gnar) and still won by over a second, I think it's a better run than you're rating it Speeder. We're talking about him managing to significantly beat the wet weather wizard that is Danny Hart, though a combination of mad skills, sheer power and inspired line choice.

I find it bizarre that Warner goes on about Minnaar as the GOAT when he's competing against Gwin - yes, Minnaar is currently the winningest but when when Gwin gets a clean run he's unbeatable, regardless of the type of track or conditions. Just compare this to his demolition job at Windham in 2015 or the chainless magic at Leogang - such different races but each time he makes the magic happen.

Without a doubt the best DH racer ever.

Maybe - I'd like to see the sector by sector break down of his times vs Danny as I think that'd make interesting reading

Minnaar doesn't do the massive margins wins so much as super consistency and he's been getting WC podiums since 2000 - that's 17 years!!! Nearly as long as Finn Iles has been alive.

Gwinn has only been racing on an MTB since 2008 so his achievement is incredible and his wins/starts ratio may make him the "winningest" but he's got a way to go to be the GOAT (depends entirely on your point of view and how you'd measure this unmeasurable status).
