[#6741967]

Happy new year all.

Now the madness that was December is behind us for another year, has anyone got any suggestions for this Monday??

Quite happy to keep it low key and local with a home game from The Church Inn?

I'm in a bit of a mess after an unscheduled dismount whilst BMXing the other night so can't guarantee attending.

I'll have to see how it goes.

[s]I'm not going to say that I told you so but[/s]

I told you that shenanigans would end in tears.

There were no tears! However one of the many chunky zips on a pair of Endura Humvees did manage to penetrate quite a long way into my leg.

I should be up for it. Although I'm coming down with a cold* so will also have to see how it goes.

*potential first crap excuse of the year.

I reckon I can probably make it out to Prestwich again, smashing.

HtS, have you got hold of the footage of your impromptu acrobatics yet?

Will hopefully be able to make it, especially if it's Prestwich.

Need to get my rear brake fixed though. As with most things I try to fix myself, I've gone and made it worse.

Yes I think a trip to Prestwich will be good. First day back at work for many will undoubtedly lead to a mass 'cant be arsed' set of excuses come 6pm on the forum!

It would probably be an idea to stick to the Songs of Praise route which stuck to fast* and relatively dry sections of trail...

*everything is relative!

I can't do this week folks (so that should speed things up a bit) as the social whirl of my new year continues (mates 40th birthday drinkees). I'll probably still do the weekly illustrations for the thread though (rude not too), but I've sworn I'm not touching a Mac until Monday.

Well volunteered for leading if HtS doesn't pull through 😀

The alternative isn't worth considering, frankly...

Evening all. Could I tag along on Monday, what time do you meet?

Trust it's a relaxed pace...

Cheers
Ruddy

Course you ruddy can! All are welcome.

relaxed may be bigging it up a bit though. Almost stationary is likely to be more accurate after the Christmas break 😀 .

8.15 outside The Church Inn 40 Church Ln, Prestwich, Manchester M25 1AJ.

Bring Lights

And beer money.

I'm tempted. I'm just slow and secondly up at half 5 for work.

Do they still do those pies?

Last Monday the pie fridge was bare. Having said that, there was hardly any beer on either!

Delivery was expected though!

Well xherbivorex and I have just spent a rather muddy few hours at Phillips this afternoon so if any of you were thinking of a ride on the "other" side of the river it will be extremely claggy.

Hopefully HtS will have recovered sufficiently to guide us...

I should be there. Will try and think up a route that will keep us out of the mud. Probably some variation on the Songs of Praise extravaganza from last month.

I’ll also be bringing my new pressure washer (woo), so form an orderly queue if you want a squirt.
