I've hardly ridden in weeks. So if anyone fancies it:

Hare and Hounds, Holcombe

A variation of the out-and-out dossing about route of Holcombe Hill that has repeatedly tried to kill Bregante. Interstellar, the chutes, Reddisher woods, pub. Job jobbed

Nice poster.
I'd love to come, but I think I'm shooting photos of Jason in the woods that night. (In Lycra...)

I'd just like to report that the monsoon has arrived already in Rammy. If this carries on I reckon we got for a spot of white water rafting down the Irwell instead

Well it's rained pretty much constantly for the last 4 days, a lot of the time in fairly monsoon-esque horizontal fashion. So I'll be be christening my new gore tex winter boots. Every cloud Eh? ๐Ÿ™‚ it's gonna be muddy, as it was pretty boggy up on the moors anyway. Hey ho! ๐Ÿ™‚

Well... for the 5th day running, it is absolutely hauling it down out there. Drove over the top road this morning and half the moor appears to have been washed down onto it. Its going to be very very wet, and very very boggy.

Might have to re-evaluate the planned route, as the bottom section of intersteller was pretty wet anyway, before the 5 days solid rain.

You know I'd mentioned canoeing as an alternative if this rain continued?

Well....

Having just returned from two summer holidays, I haven't mentally prepared myself for getting covered in sh*t yet. Instead I'm going to go for a few pints after work and pretend I'm still on holiday.

Happy to lead an early doors bank holiday ride next week round Tod if anyone fancies. That'll give me time to psyche myself up for the mud and grimness.

Early doors toddy works for me.

My bikes in bits* and my vans bust. And on that basis plus I'm knackered I'm oot.

*not an excuse rear shock not holding pressure

Well this one has truly lived up to its billing. Mind you... the weather has played a massive part in the all round malaise. It'll be a bloody quagmire on the moors!

I've got loads of illustrations to do before I go on my hollybobs on Friday so I'm going to stay dry, warm and draw some fat bikes...
