It's snowing in Heptonstall, Brant.

If it's raining in Heb, it'll be snowing in Heptonstall 😉

The suns out now!

Shall we just go for a pint?

I've got a presentation to get to Print Bureau for 12, then I'm free.

Owing to transport I shall be unable to attend this evening and will have to await another opportunity to loose my MNPR cherry. Enjoy.

I'll be there.
It's a motorway and a massive main road all the way from here to there, so I'm not expecting to be be stranded in the car.
I'll have a mountain bike with me anyway. ready for owt.

Roads are all fine. I'll see y'all there at 8.15 in the car park. Two ups, two downs, pints in pub. Sorted.

The chippy round the corner hasn't been open for a couple of years, Hora...

Well I was really looking forward to this one but unless the blinding headache I've had since yesterday disappears in the next 30mins, I'm not going to make it. Bloody annoying. 👿

did you all stay in the pub for ages after I left? I've heard stories of hangovers this morning...

I was there till closing, as was Chipps, Clover and a few others...I have a feeling I may be responsible for at least one hangover by buying a pint of beer I didn't know was 7% for someone...

I need to get a lift next time by somebody who likes to stay late and doesn't drink. I can't believe I had to pick one of the weakest beers and that was around 5%.
Excellent ride as well as pub.

I walked in the pub and suddenly wanted to get slaughtered, leave the car in the car park and ride/wobble home.
sort of glad I didn't.

You'll have to come back for a Saturday bike ride and pub session then, Jase! And if anyone else would like an extended tour of the valley, I'm happy to play tour guide if I'm around...

Great idea. Combine the two and do a Calderdale pub-crawl by bike?

I'd definitely be up for either, I don't know the riding round Hebden at all so a guided tour would be ace. Same goes for the pubs.

And I could probably get back home by train, too. Hmmm...

I'll happily do a big guided day out with beer included. I'll happily give the stupid people who want to hurt themselves uphill something to chase...until they overtake me when it gets to steep for my gearing and I start walking 🙁

Every week I read the MNPR thread thinking I'd like to join in one of the Hebden or Tod outings, and every bleeding time I cant make it. (We had a baby on Sunday - beat that for an excuse!)
If there is to be a decent Saturday Hebden ride, please post a thread up as I would love to join. If thats Ok, of course...

^^^^ I'm in the same boat as mike (well, didn't have a baby, congrats dude). A Saturday/Sunday spin with beer would be ace and hard to turn down.

Problems with weekends are all the other trail users. It can be a bit busy. Unless we're talking weekend evening ride.
