Unfortunately, it's just too far for me on a school night. I'm up at half 5.

Should be ok for Monday but may have to give the pint a miss to get back at a semi sensible time!

I'll be there as long as my dodgy back is ok by then. I bloody hate being old. Puts me in a dilemma though. Can I be arsed riding there and back from Tod?

This is local to me so I might break my MNPR duck.
Are green stoker helmets compulsory though?
I'll also declare it now, I have a lefty fork and ive heard all the jokes before.

They were very good with me on my first ride along with them, always had someone keeping me company at the back.

I should be out if I can get my new "Gnar Missile" built up.

If I scratch it I will cry.

This is a good incentive to do that brake bleed I've been putting off.

Yeah, I felt kinda silly winging about my brakes when yours were much closer to the bars 🙂

I'd love to come out, it's been too long.

Bonnets, can I borrow that book? (Shock doctrine), ta!

Would their be room for a MNPR b team? I've joined a couple of rides at Prestwich but the big hill stuff is out of my comfort zone. But a regular Monday night at Prestwich I would more likely attend. Don't know it well enough to lead it but would be interested. Quite happy to join up and have a chat.

1 Shed, do what you want. It's a free World!

If we do Littleborough in a couple of weeks you should come and have a go. It is sort of half way on the "big hill stuff" scale.

Being so far from home I'm tempted to go straight from work and get some grub at the pub. I think a pint will also help with the ride. Probably go straight home afterwards. Does anyone know if the pub does food?

The Oldgate? Its for rich southern types who moved back up and buy-to-let Landlords?

Chippy is around the corner 😀

Some pretty good beers on in OldGate right now.
Ryperbole from Magic Rock on keg at £4.60 a pint.
There's a Thornbridge Russian Imperial Stout.
The Chopper Stout from 6 Deg North is incredible, but more like a dark saison than a stout really.

Non of those are what I'd call "driving" beers though.

I've just checked the weather forecast and a 30 mile drive "up t' valley" in heavy snow is a little daft.

I'm oot.

Guys, the roads aren't looking great round here, it's taken me 45 mins to get from Heptonstall to Hebden Bridge (very gingerly down the hill) and there were at least 2 collisions that I saw, turned promptly around, and came straight back home (very gingerly).

Still snowing
