I'll be the guy eating something at the Wine Press next to a BlackBlue Pig.
I'll be the guy confusing everyone by also turning up on a [s]black[/s] Blue Pig.
and hoping you lot are not too fast
You soooooo don't know us. Terrahawk came 2nd at the 24 hour world championships and is the reigning 'puffer and UK24 champion, but he's not out.
The rest of us are dog slow.
This is a bloody long shot, but if anyone could bring a spare set of Magura Louise BAT pads, even just for a borrow today, please could you....
Mine appear to have been oiled by an adjacent bike...
Ta
Don't go without us, we're riding over....
Aaaah.. BestVET.... Aaah, I thought BestBET, was confused.
That was bloody brilliant fun! So much easier through the rock garden at the top when you can actually see the rocks!
I'm liking my patriotic picture Harry! 😀
I hoped the squeaking was my BB, turns out that the main pivot had worked itself to just finger tight and then I'd ridden round woburn sands on it yesterday - lunched bearing.
Looks like a great one tonight!
Yes a grand ride this evening! Thoroughly enjoyed it - nice and dusty although my shower will testify that i still managed to find plenty of mud!
The lovely (if midge infested) Hollingworth Lake...
Rest break...
Give me a chance to get my breath back!
Top of Blackstone Edge - no more climbing!
The flag seemed pretty new... Wonder if it was Lee Rigby related?
What a belting night for it. Great pics.
Thoroughly enjoyed that, thanks everyone.
Looks alright I suppose 👿
We're doing it again next week (provisionally). Pull your bloody [s]finger[/s] thumb out!
There appears to be a girl in that photo! Or did Hora turn up?
Cheers guys. That Mordor traverse and descent was something else. Twenty years in Manc and I"d never ridden it til last night. Idiot!
There were two. None of them were Hora. There appears to be a girl in that photo! Or did Hora turn up?
That was a blinder! Thanks Binners for the route and everyone for a fine night out, oh and the sunshine (but not the midges).
PS I am not Hora!
Clearly not as
1. You actually exist
2. You can ride a bike.
Gorgeous ride, cheers all!
Really hope to make it next week!
Awsum, it was. If we're being organised - can someone arrange the weather to be about the same please.
Thanks
Ta, Witton, makes sense to me now! Might see you all out on the hills next time, if I am free.
If anyone was remotely concerned, my right arm is now an interesting assortment of colours after my little.... ahem... 'incident'. I suspect my thigh is going to be even more kaleidoscopic by this evening.
Thanks to WW though, for waiting a full half a second, to check I was still moving and therefore alive, before pointing at me and laughing 😀
I wanted to see a helicopter... and then you moved.
Meh.
Apparently, if you want a ride in a helicopter, our usual haunt of Prestwich is where its at.
I arrived just after it happened. I thought I'd inadvertently found myself on the north face of the Eiger. About 8 'Mountain Rescue' Landies and an Air Ambulance. Talk about over-reacting! Its a public park in Prestwitch FFS! Not a base camp of Everest!
You make me sound so uncaring! You were lucky that there was such a soft landing - well for the bike at least which came down on top of you! 🙂
Looks fun. If you head up there again I may latch on (hopefully when Canyon replace my frame on the FS, or I might have to turn up underbiked!), I'm only in Oldham. I ride up near Hollingworth Lake but haven't tried that route.
We may be up there again next Monday doing a route out towards Tod.
Watch out for the thread. It us usually up by Thursday lunch time.
