I was so mud-free after yesterday's ride, I didn't even need to change before going out for cocktails then on to the opera.

I'm presently horridly man-coldy, but am confident on the restorative powers of cheese toasties and hot vimto. No germs can survive the amount of Worcester sauce I put on a cheese toasty*

Well, that was an eventful trip home.

Left the pub and this lady collapses as i'm driving past on the bridge, car thermometer says -4, ugh. Headed back, 10 mins to persuade her that it's a bit of a shit idea to sleep on the bridge and maybe I could help her up and get her home.

Another 15 mins to go the 400M to her house seeing as she can't walk on her own, where her on bail (for battering her, no less), abusive partner is waiting for, despite the restraining order.

She can't find her keys so a swift call to 101 and the boys in blue were on their way round. Even with me knee pads still on I didn't fancy that barney.

Next Monday, i'm following our resident police officer out of the pub.

Weirdly on Strava the ride route looks like a cock n balls, or perhaps a dancing banana.

Really enjoyed that last night! Good numbers, good crack and good chips!

Probably the most number of OTB's and mechanicals I've seen on a MNPR!

Thanks Binners!

Brilliant run last night folks. Great turnout for such a bitterly cold evening. Interstellar in the snow, and chip butties and beer to finish. What's not to like? 😀

picktyors....

Can anyone feel their fingers enough to put a link in?

Chips with everything....

Did Manchester's primary law enforcement agent require 'modification'? 😀

That was one of the best MNPRs I've been on so far.

Some crap pictures which don't really do it justice:

I think that was possibly the cleanest mountain bike ride I've ever been on. My kit was spotless, I had a hard time convincing the wife that I'd not just gone to the pub. Cheers all!

As a testement to our resident bling-bike riding, spanner-wielder, and inner tube ninja (and apparently he's also something to do with some mountain biking magazine) , are we getting him a t shirt printed chaps and chapesses? 😀
