Should be OK just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get any worse.

Might want to fit an angleset to correct the steering too.

And a much longer fork to make it slack enough.

JRA may have an element of BS to it.
@Gofaster. No you may not. They seem to have survived intact. 1 1/8 Rebas who would have thunk it!

What did you do, anyway? Straight into a bog at 30 with a short stop?

I did that on a fully loaded Thorn Raven, luckily the forks were slightly weaker than the frame.

Not sure about that. I did try to ride it like that. Was interesting to say the least. I may have just about managed it if the car was at the bottom and not the top of the hill.

I promise to stay and watch out for your SWMBO and cover things up if she does pop by. But put me out of my misery and tell me what happened...

My less-than-parsimonius theory is running into a large fallen tree trunk suspended just at top of tyre height whilst belting down a hill.

A huck to flat should put enough tension in the down tube to straighten it out

That attempt at ghetto forward geometry did not go well.

Did you run into a dog on a shared cycle path?

Arboreal interfaces were very much involved in this. No wounds or broken bones were received thankfully.
@ Jekkyl, no this was a spares box "bitsa". I am a bit peed off but only because I was actually really enjoying the lightweight, back to basics hardtail thing.
