Monarch RT with Autosag on a 2018 Specialized Levo.
My shock has become very wheezy in the last few days, Distractingly so. It is particularly bad around the sag point. The threshold lever now appears to do nothing, and the rebound adjuster does work to an extent, but not a massive range of adjustment.
I was thinking that maybe the IFP had failed and the nitrogen and oil in the Damper had mixed, causing the wheeze.
Today I thought I'd let all the air out, and refill to see if it was anything to do with +ve/-ve fill issues. Well, the amount of dirty looking oil that came out of the Autosag valve took me by complete surprise. It was everywhere, and it seemed to stop the valve closing, the only thing to do was to screw the valve up pronto.
Now I'm thinking that maybe the Damper head seal has failed, and this would lead to te IFP going too...
Maybe I am over thinking it, but I just want to know what has failed, and why.
Shock is under warranty so is off to the shop tomorrow. Just annoying.
