Seriously considering getting one of these babies, anyone tried/got a chubby'd up (650b+) one. Thinking of Hope'ing it up, and fitting Nexties. Any experiences good/bad?

Cheers guys

Having had a close look at one the shock placement, in direct spray from the rear wheel would be a nightmare to maintain & fat tyres throw up a lot more dirt.Put me off completely

That's helpfull to the OP vern.
A real insight into how it rides. 😉
Not got the Mondraker myself but if you' looking for advice on B+ and full suss they work really well on rocky trails and anything that's not a bogfest. Is there room to fit some 29er wheels in there when it's not so dry?

I've got a couple of 29ers,and a full fat, so,chubby it is,as I got the N+1 nod....Graham at Slam69's going to bling it a bit for me. The excitement is tangible.

Rocketdog- the rear shock is protected a bit. Not my bike by the way.

I thought connecting the OP with someone who actually has one and has posted information about how it rides would be yes. I'm glad you have experience of FS and 650b+ which is obviously more relevant.

Many thanks,as always, for your views and observations. I have, however, dropped a clanger: I,mistakenly, thought that the Crafty came in carbon, and it doesn't (that's the Dune!!)........don't want to go back to alloy, so I'll revise my post to: Hightower anyone!!!!

That relevant enough for you. 😉
Maybe I could ask verns mate to ride it and post a 1000 word article on it. 😉
Or you can have a try if your anywhere near me. Might be a bit more use than loads of buzzwords and BS.
