Any ideas? Somewhere not under water would be good.

I've not ridden my MTB since the Rammy Ride. Expect slowness and swearing from me.

Proper dead, or just wounded?

Dunno. Its still in the garage. All the electrics died. As apparently tends to happen when you drive into a puddle that turns out to be a lake. Even german electrics don't like water that comes over the bonnet ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

I can give a lift from Whitefield/Prestwich area - It'll force me out too if I'm picking someone up.

Face it Greg... you are never actually in. ๐Ÿ˜‰

It is like George Clooney, Bryan (with a Y) Robson and Petula Clark all crying off.

Not sure if Hans Rey is out this week.

Back to usual for me next week chaps. Unfortunately these days that means I can't make it ๐Ÿ™ .

On a related note I had a little spin up to the White House and across Mordor this morning. It really is very very sloppy indeed out there with huge ditches appearing down the middle of trails. For those MNPR regulars who know it, the descent to the Rugby club after the steep walled climb at Tunshill was lethal. I'd imagine it's much the same everywhere so be careful out there.

Been for a ride this morning over Winter Hill. On strava I called it 'Character Building'.

There is no way on this earth that I will be out tomorrow night! I'm not even going to pretend that I will be there! No way!

Have a good one you mad fools!

Joking aside, it was very wet as you would expect. A lot of the trails, especially from the Jolly Crofter side of the hill are hard compact trails. Not particularly muddy but lots of standing / running water. Runs such as Twa Lads and the Kennels Descent will be slip slidey and fun to do downhill though i'm not sure how you will fare climbing up the Rangers Path to the mast road.

We rode the shooting hut descent which whilst wet, wasn't too bad. The biggest problem for us was the freezing rain driving in your face. Proper Brain Freeze!

Anyway I will think about you from the comfort of my turbo trainer (and boy do I need it!).

Is there a hard pack route up to The Pike? I'm not fancying bog-slogging my way up to the mast.

Daz is out with man-flu, so no lift for me. Curses! I'm gutted! Honestly, I am!

Seeing as I'm commuting on the bike tomorrow, and the forecast says I'm going to get soaked both ways, I'm sure I would have been dying to head over to Rivi and get a third dousing!

Oh well.... have fun you lot!

Not me I'm afraid. Haven't shaken off this damn cold that I picked up last week, and the conditions don't exactly offer much encouragement. Normal service will be resumed next week.

Love a bit of Ice cream, me!

There's not a lot of chicken lines left down there though. Really enjoyed the lead mines Clough singletrack too.

Good stuff. Thanks for that Duncan!

I needed something to restore my mojo as for the last few weeks I really couldn't be arsed with riding push bikes.

nowt wrong with the ICR (although yes, the chicken lines have all but gone), it was just a little bit too sloppy in places last night. i minced a lot of it as a result, which was a bit annoying!

Couldn't make it over yesterday on account of how it was **** miles away, but me and riklegge still kept the MNPR flame alive on our side of the Pennines by riding through a load of cack in the dark (with a stop for a minor mechanical and everything) and then having beer and pies and crisps afterwards.

Hopefully make it out for one a bit more towards this side of things shortly. Oh and when are we going to get another BMX session lined up?

Gaz mentioned something about BMX at the Christmas Bash. It'll be soon IIRC.

Next week how about Prestwich? It is about as mud free as we can get at the moment. Also it means we can have pie. Which is nice.

Shall watch this space for BMX developments. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for showing us some new routes Duncan. Especially the slippy rooty single track knee basher. Luckily just a mere flesh wound. Knee pads for me next week.
